How Eyelashes Grow
The complete cycle of eyelash growth, from the initial phase of growth to the shedding of old lashes and the emergence of new ones, typically takes around 3 to 4 months. The eyelash growth cycle includes three stages: Anagen (growth), Catagen (transition), and Telogen (resting). Anagen lasts 4-6 weeks, during which lashes actively grow. Catagen follows for 2-3 weeks, where lashes reach their natural length and stop growing. Telogen, the final stage lasting around 100 days, sees the weakened follicle resting until the lash falls out naturally, taking 1-2 months for replacement.
